GCSE Young Research 2000 Call for Papers ---------------------------------------- GCSE Young Researchers Workshop 2000 (http://i44w3.info.uni-karlsruhe.de/~heuzer/GCSE-YRW2000/index.html) is Part of the Second International Symposium on Generative and Component-Based Software Engineering (GCSE 2000) October 9 - 12, 2000 Messekongresszentrum Erfurt, Germany This call is of special interest to people who have recently started their career in the domain of generative and component-based software development (the "young researchers"). We would like to encourage contributions from PhD students, post-docs, and practitioners in industry. The topics of the workshop are the same as those of the GCSE 2000 (http://www.netobjectdays.org/gcse/). Aims and Objectives ------------------- After the great success of last year's first workshop this session again aims at providing a platform for young researchers to present their work. The workshop will serve as a forum for the participants to get in contact with other researchers in the field and to become familiar with other approaches and future research topics. Presentations ------------- In this session young researchers will have the chance to present their work to the audience and a panel of renowned experts who will provide feedback on the work. We will encourage the members of the program committee to be commentators. It is recommended to give a short talk describing the presenter's own work and the intended future research. This will provide a basis for comments and discussion. Submission Guidelines --------------------- Potential participants are asked to submit a short paper in English. It must be no longer than 1000 words or two pages (not counting figures, tables and references). Please send the paper in HTML format to the organizers. The paper may contain figures in gif (or jpg) format. Be sure that your submission displays and prints properly using HTML and the widespread browsers (Netscape and MS Internet Explorer). The submission should be classified according to the progress of the work. The pattern for the submission may be taken at the sample HTML file: http://i44www.info.uni-karlsruhe.de/~heuzer/GCSE-YRW2000/gcseYRW_sample.html Accepted short papers will be published online on the GCSE 2000 Young Researchers Workshop homepage and as downloadable proceedings. In addition to short papers, full papers in PDF or Postscript Level 2 format may be submitted. These papers will be attached to the short papers pages as downloadable files. Please note that the submission of a short paper is MANDATORY. (Short) papers should be emailed to: Dirk Heuzeroth (heuzer@ipd.info.uni-karlsruhe.de) Please use the text "GCSE-YRW-2000-Submission" as subject of your mail.
